The true meaning of a civilized society is a caring society. Projects like this intended to alleviate pain are manifestations of concern and care for the suffering of others in the society and they are most commendable. The proposed cancer Center and Palliative Care Unit will indeed meet a keenly felt need of the people of Central Travancore. I convey my good wishes to all those who are involved in the noble task.
About Us
Sisodia Educational Medical and Charitable Society established in 1987 under ‘Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Act 1955 started working for empowerment of less privileged in our society.
Initial stage activities included educational aid for needy children, financial support for sick, medical camps and distribution of medical aid.
Government of Kerala recognized and supported the Mission in its activities especially the relief activities during Tsunami.
Working among poor patients exposed us to the plight of Cancer patients. Cancer patients in poor homes are exposed to multi level livelihood issues, high cost of Medical treatment, lack of facilities at local level and deterioration of general health to receive essential cancer medicines with side effects.
Ayurveda has several treatment protocols that enhance immunity, general health and mental stability.
Convergence of the two medical streams would be beneficial to most of the patients during and after allopathic treatment for cancer.
Sisodia is into research for effective use of Ayurveda.
